📣 Introducing Spotter Clubs
We just rolled out Spotter Clubs — a way for groups of photographers to gather under one roof on Squawk.
Think regional spotter groups (Bay Area, LHR, NRT…), friend circles, equipment-specific crews (e.g. "Long
Lens Club") — anything you want to organize around.
What you get with a club:
- A public landing page with the club name, description, owner, and a custom banner image
- A member-only photo gallery — only people the owner has approved can see the club's contributed photos
- An open public profile so anyone can see the club exists and request to join
How joining works:
1. Browse all clubs at squawkaviationphotos.com/Clubs
2. Click any club to see its page
3. Hit Request to Join — the owner reviews the request and approves you
4. Once approved, you can see the member gallery and contribute your own photos
Owners get full control:
- Approve / reject incoming join requests
- Add specific people directly (skipping the queue)
- Remove members you no longer want in the club
- Upload and replace the club banner
- Founders are automatically the owner of their own clubs
Starting your own club is easy — sign in, head to /Clubs, and hit Start a Club. Name it, write a short
description, pick an icon, and you're live. You can polish it with a banner later.
